Barbara gave us the best ceremony! We discussed with her early on about the style of ceremony we wanted: lighthearted, loving, elements of humor, and had to include a few religious aspects from both my husband's and my background (they're different). Barbara took this and learned about us, and our ceremony really felt like a representation of our life. Our guests couldn't stop asking me "who is Barbara?! where did you find her?!" and my family loved her. It was a fabulous, meaningful, and comfortable ceremony that we are so thrilled to have included at our wedding. Thank you, Barbara!

Barbara is truly the best officiant you can find, and we cannot recommend her enough! She puts so much energy, detail and love into each and every ceremony she creates. Helping couples create their dream ceremony shows. Her ceremonies are completely tailored to who you are as a couple, and she is an incredible storyteller. We received SO many compliments on the ceremony from guests as she did such a wonderful job port story and setting the tone for the rest of the night. In addition to the beautiful ceremonies she creates, she is also just a wonderful person. She took the time to really get to know us and is so kind and thoughtful, easy, fun, and meaningful.

We are so happy that we chose Barbara to officiate our wedding! Following our initial conversation, we knew immediately that we had selected the perfect officiant! Her calm demeanor & positive energy was exactly what we were hoping to find. Barbara was warm, genuine, thoughtful, caring, professional, and most importantly, passionate about composing a heartfelt and personalized ceremony that captured our love story. All along the way, Barbara communicated with us - offering assistance & guidance, suggesting readings, blessings & sample vows and providing valuable resources that allowed us to fine-tune the ceremony exactly to our liking. Weeks before our ceremony, we had some unexpected family health issues and Barbara was nothing but supportive, loving and kind. I could write a novel about Barbara. She is SO sweet and has so much compassion. I feel like my husband and I truly found a new friend. She speaks from the heart and makes you feel like you have known her for years. She even invited my husband and I for breakfast when we were in town visiting our venue. I kid you not, there was not a dry eye at our ceremony. Even the photographer was crying because Barbara just has a way with words that draw you in. I can’t wait to see her again in the future. If you’re looking for an officiant that truly wants to get to know you and your significant other, Barbara is your person!!

Barbara was an absolute delight to work with and is a wonderful officiant! She helped us develop a meaningful ceremony that integrated parts of both of our cultures, which made our wedding day so very special and memorable for our guests. We had to cancel our original wedding plans due to Covid and we found Barbara last minute, two weeks before our elopement in Santa Barbara. She was very flexible (we had not even confirmed an exact time or location until the evening before). She was very quick to respond, warm, and provided great advice and guidance. Most importantly, she truly got to know us as individuals and as a couple, and that was beautifully reflected in our ceremony. It was absolutely perfect. We received many compliments after from our virtual family and friends that tuned in! Her words and overall presence were absolutely perfect for our intimate elopement and the most memorable moment of our lives. I could never thank her enough for completing our day in the most organic way.

I found Barbara on The Knot and chose her based on her reviews - I am so grateful that I chose her. She is every bit as helpful, warm, and kind as the reviews suggest. From day one she felt like a friend, offering assistance, reading suggestions, ceremony help, and more. Her passion for her job is evident in all of the time she took to get to know us and all that she did to help us create a ceremony that was lovely and beautiful- she really did go above and beyond for us. We are so grateful we found Barbara Rose Sherman to officiate our wedding. I found her doing an internet search and it was honestly one of the best things that could have happened to make our day so incredibly beautiful and full of meaning. From the get go Barbara was extremely responsive and exceptionally thoughtful and attentive. She was so kind and made so many efforts to connect with us throughout the entire process leading up to our big day. We were in such loving and capable hands and it made our vow writing and ceremony so very special. She provided us with so many useful resources and checked in on us along the entire way. My now husband is Jewish and while we did not have a full Jewish wedding, Barbara was amazing at incorporating some beautiful Jewish cultural traditions and prayers into our ceremony. It was so perfect. Both of our families were absolutely delighted with her as were all of our guests. I had so many people remark to me how wonderful she is and how much they totally loved her style. She made it all seem so effortless, but I know it wasn't. Barbara is spiritual and graceful but also really effervescent and full of positivity. She possesses the perfect amount of lightness and humor. We just adore her! We are beyond thankful she was part of our day and we honestly cannot recommend her highly enough. Our ceremony was so deeply meaningful and special and we will cherish it forever. Barbara made all of us feel so comfortable and offered sage wisdom and support whenever we needed it.

Though most couples frequently look forward to the fun times at their wedding reception, I had many great memories of planning and living through a thoughtful, customized, and beautiful ceremony. Thanks to Barbara She takes time to really get to know you, your partner, and your relationship. Working with Barbara was one of the greatest privileges of my wedding planning process. I gained a mentor and great friend in the process. If you are getting married in Santa Barbara, do yourself a favor and call her!!

Barbara is a gem. There are not enough words to express how grateful we are of her. From day 1, Barbara was dedicated to making our wedding ceremony perfect. She is positive, loving, kind, and thoughtful. She is also very organized, communicative and shares so many amazing ceremony and wedding ideas with us. She also embraced my Hispanic culture wedding traditions and took it upon herself to learn all about the Lasso ceremony. Barbara is also an excellent storyteller and many of our guests were emotional during the ceremony, and the guests also loved the meditation we incorporated. Barbara is a kind soul with a loving heart and we look to her for guidance beyond our wedding. My grandmother passed away suddenly the day before my wedding, and Barbara was there for me in many ways. With Barbara by our side, we got through a very tough time much easier. We could not have chosen a more perfect person to share our journey with. Barbara is now a close friend of ours and we look forward to having her in our lives for years to come."
